Hey all! hpbookcrossing released a number of books during Phoenix Rising, most, to my knowledge, in the Room of Requirement. If you were one of the fantastic people that nabbed a free book, please, please go to BookCrossing and log the book as being captured. The best part of BookCrossing is getting to track the journey of the books we set free!

We welcome new members that would like to join us in our book releasing odyssey. There are no obligations whatsoever, just release books in the name of Harry Potter readers whenever and wherever you can. Our main focus is Harry Potter related events, like Phoenix Rising, meet-ups, and other HP events. We have printable bookplates and bookmarks and whenever possible, we'll have other hpbookcrossing swag available. Join BookCrossing.com then visit hpbookcrossing!

We'd love for our books to travel to London for Sectus or Toronto for Prophecy!

We have at least a couple of people going to Prophecy, so maybe you'll snag some books then. :D Free books=love.

Ahahaha, I knew and you didn't! Bwahahaha. Actually, none of the books particularly struck my fancy.

I'm surprised I didn't mention it in the shuttle on the way to the hotel! I tend not to shut up about BookCrossing.

I fully intended to do some book crossing, but I ended up giving away most of my books to a charity auction this past weekend. I'll probably have some to release by next year.

Either way, your books aren't collecting dust. That's the real goal. ;)

As a fellow HP fan, I really liked this post a lot. Sorry for coming in late in the game. I'm pushing to have a section on the Bookcrossing.com site that allows members to create BC related material as you have and then have members vote on it so we can get it printed off in massive bulk quantity and save you some $$$:) Keep on Crossing and again, great posts.

First of all...I'm incredibly pleased you responded to my post!

Printing bulk quantity would be fantastic for a group like ours. We have an event coming up in which the organizers have requested 500 of something to include in their registration packets...probably bookmarks since most of it comes out of my pocket. ;)

I left a book at each major location on our trip (airports and hotels), but I haven't heard from any of them since yet.

I'll probably do a book release when I see OotP. I'll most definitely release books at Terminus next year.

Oh wow! I wish I'd known about the hpbookcrossing community before it went away. I do so many special Harry Potter BookCrossing releases (my very first catch was a Harry Potter book, in fact).

I'd love to have seen what you all were up to!
